Cunsolo Architects were excited to embark on this journey with the client team, the brief was bold and clear with its intention. To create a warm and comforting space, utilising best in class construction methods. This lead us to proposing a Cross-Laminated-Timber (CLT) structure for the extension of the heritage church building.

With the project just nearing completion, we're delighted to be able to share some final progress images. Care and planning was taken into the connection of the new and old structures, as well as integrating the existing stained glass windows in the new CLT structure. Both we and the Client are thrilled with the outcome, and it has served as a fantastic example of the benefits of using a CLT structure for new Building of similar size.
